Youenn Gwernig
Youenn Gwernig , born with Scaër (Finistere) in 1925, deceased with Douarnenez (Finistere) the August 29th 2006, appeared tardily in the song. He wrote poems for a long time, but he had emigrated with the the United States and in Brittany only at the end of the Années 1960 returned. It always had two activities: musician and sculptor.
During its stay in the United States, it met the poet beatnik Jack Kerouac (death in 1969) and both bound friendship. Youenn was made naturalize American and brought back the influence of New York in some poems.
He wrote some of his poems simultaneously in the three French, Breton, English languages. He also wrote a novel the large tribe (Grasset). Its writings in Breton language were mainly published at Al Liamm. It received the Prix Xavier de Langlais in 1996 for the whole of its poetic production.
