Yossef Weiz
Yossef Weiz ( יוסףוייץ ) is born in 1890 in Russia and emigrates in Palestine in 1908 during the second wave of Aliyah.
After its Aliyah, Weiz passes from establishment in establishment, as a member of the party Hapoel Hatzaïr.
After the First World War, it is named responsible with the KKL, of which he becomes president at the conclusion of the Guerre of Independence.
It takes an active part in the purchase of grounds, and in these writings, it describes, daily, the process of draining of the Lake of the Houla and the Vallée of Héfer, and evolution of the afforestation of the Montagnes of Nazareth.
After the death of his/her son Yéhiam, Weiz devotes to him a book recalling its life and describing its contribution in the birth of the state. Yossef Weiz dies in 1972. In its memory a district of the North of the country bears the name of " Maalé-Yossef".
