Yoshiyuki Sadamoto

Yoshiyuki Sadamoto (), born the January 29th 1962 in Tokushima in the prefecture of Yamaguchi, is a illustrator which carried out his studies of art at the university of Tokyo Zôkei before becoming one of the founders of the studio of animation Gainax, in 1985. He will assume the role of Character designer of films and series produced by this studio.

In 2000, it worked on FLCL , in 2002 on .hack//SIGN , and in 2004 on Gunbuster 2 (also directing of the animation of the first episode). Sadamoto is a very famous and known draftsman who counts many fans. Moreover several artbooks is dedicated to him like the artbook " Alpha" ; or more recently " DER mond - Yoshiyuki Sadamoto - Evangelion illustration" like " Die Sterne". In addition to its work of chara-designer he also officiated as scenario writer with more or less of success on the version Manga of Neon Genesis Evangelion (of which he is not only the scenario writer, but also the draftsman).
