Yoshihide Ashikaga

Yoshihide Ashikaga (, Ashikaga Yoshihide ) (1538 - October 28th 1568) was the fourteenth of the Shoguns Ashikaga of the end of the Period Muromachi of the history of the Japan. Yoshihide was the grandson of the eleventh Shogun Yoshizumi Ashikaga and briefly reigned from February to September 1568.

Supported by Hisahide Matsunaga and the vassal ones of Nagayoshi Miyoshi, Yoshihide becomes '' Seii Taishogun '' three years after the death of his/her cousin thirteenth the shogun Yoshiteru Ashikaga. However, because of the political situation with Kyōto at this time, it cannot enter the capital.

In September 1568, Nobunaga Oda inserts its armies in Kyōto, takes the capital, and installs Yoshiaki Ashikaga as a fifteenth shogun. Yoshihide, which forever be able to take its station in the capital, dies shortly after of disease.
