Yoon Byung-in

Yoon Byung-in is a large Master of martial arts North-Korean, born the May 18th 1920, dead the April 3rd 1983.

It contributed to the diffusion of the Kung fu in Korea after the Second world war, having studied the Karaté in Japan and in China.

In 1951, during the War of Korea, it joined the North Korea. Whereas its fate had been ignored in Occident starting from this date, its life in North Korea is known since December 2005, at the time of a meeting with Seoul between family members of Yoo Byung-in and of the American Master of martial arts (and who followed the teaching of Yoo Byung-in) Kim Soo.

He taught martial arts in North Korea, in particular the gyuck-sul (a strategy of combat) of January 1966 in August 1967. He also set up the teaching of the Taekwondo in North Korea.

Having worked in a cement factory, Yoon Byung-in died of a lung cancer in 1983.
