Yom HaZikaron (which means in Hebrew: Jour of the memory ) is one day national celebrated each year in Israel. It is about a homage of the Israeli nation to the soldiers fallen for his defense and the victims from terrorism.

It is one day of meditation and sadness in the country, in remembering the soldiers of Tsahal disappeared for defense from the country, in particular during the Israeli-Arab wars since 1948 to date, then with the new war Intifada , whose victims of today are civilians killed in the terrorist attacks Palestinians.

Yom HaZikaron is always celebrated the day before Yom Ha' atzmaout, date birthday of the independence of Israel in May 1948.
