Yola is the administrative Capitale of the state of Adamawa to the Nigeria located on the river Bénoué.

History

Yola was founded in 1841 by Modibbo Adama which establishes the seat of its kingdom there. In 1901 the kingdom is annexed by the Colonisation Britannique, its leaders keep a capacity of usual chief however, under the title of emir de Yola.
