Yoann (author)

Yoann , of its true name Yoann Chivard, is an author of Cartoon French, born with Alençon (Orne) the October 8th 1971.

Biography

After its vat art-plastics, Yoann leaves to Angers in 1989 to study at the school of the Art schools, it meets there Eric Omond which will work with him as a scenario writer and discovers the contemporary art, it video and the photograph. To its exit of the Art schools, it spends 10 months to the National center of the cartoon and the image of Angouleme where it animates workshops cartoon, as a conscientious objector. It publishes Phil Kaos with Eric Omond in Deadline , the British review which lodge Tank Girl of Jamie Hewlett, and Dark Boris in the magazine Inkling . In 1997, before moving for Nantes Yoann and other young authors (Olivier Supiot, Nathalie Bodin, Boris Beuzelin, Olivier Martin, Lionel Marty inter alia) assemble association " the Box which makes beuh ". In same Yoann time its book of illustration Toto ornithorynque the alters to publish it in format cartoon.

In 2004, it works with Yann and Didier Conrad on Bob Marone for the monthly magazine Icy Fluide . It carries out several short stories which will not be taken again in album.

In 2006, associated with Fabien Vehlmann for the Yoann scenario inaugurates the collection an Adventure of Spirou and Fantasio by… by carrying out its own version of Spirou and Fantasio . It will take again the regular series (after Morvan and will munuera) with Velhman their first album will leave in 2009.
