Yffiniac
Yffiniac ( Breton Ilfinieg in , Finia in Gallo) is a common French, located in the department of the Coast-with Armor and the area Brittany. Its inhabitants is called Yffiniacais.
Each year takes place the festival of the chocards, the chocards being a cake with apples.
Geography
The communes bordering are Langueux, Trégueux, Hillion, Plédran, Pommeret and Quessoy.

Town of 4664 inhabitants stretching itself on a territory of 1756 hectares, Yffiniac is located on the trunk road 12, to 7 km in the south-east of Saint-Brieuc like on the railway axis Paris-Brest. It belongs to the 14 communes gathered within the Community of Agglomeration Briochine (CABRI). Common dynamics, with approximately 200 companies and trade, forty associations, Yffiniac is based on a diversified economic fabric and rich community life. Young schools, recreational centres, space, house of early childhood, sports complex, library, public equipment and other services attest the vitality of the city.
History
Its origins, according to the historians, go back to the Gallo-Roman period. Objects such as a Gallic sword, currencies, a statuette testify to the occupation of the territory by the Celts and the Romans. It at that time is extremely moved back which the existence of a port is confirmed by the discovery of iron loops intended to retain the ships by means of cables. Yffiniac, parish attached to the county of Rennes into 980, depends on évêché on Saint-Brieuc since 1432. She elects her first municipality at the beginning of 1790 and becomes the chief town of a canton until October 27th, 1801.
Under the Consulate, a decree gave to the commune the name of Issiniac, but this error was rectified by a second decree on February 14th, 1802 and determined the name of Iffiniac. However, at the time of the 1st Empire, the " Y" became the official orthography.

Places and monuments
the St. Lawrence Vault of the Seven Saints mainly rebuilt in 1850 and completely restored in 1986, this old monument currently constitutes the principal architectural and historical heritage. The chorus and the transept, in the shape of Latin cross are the only vestiges of the old vault, going back to 1681. At the beginning of the 20th century, a festival is celebrated at the time of forgiveness; the pilgrims go to the vault to request the cure from it.In September, of all shares, one presses with the Fountain , with the miraculous virtues appears it, to honor these saints, represented by statuettes.

Side sea, let us not forget the bottom of Bay, Yffiniac having a portion of this vast sablo-muddy extent, between ground and sea.
Also let us quote the town hall , very beautiful building more recent since going back to 1911. This brick and hardcore building, built, is surrounded by the residences of the teachers and the schools, those being located at the back. Today, the town hall occupies the totality of the building.
