Yellowcard

Yellowcard is a group of American Punk-rock'n'roll .

Biography

The group is formed in 1997 in the town of Jacksonville in Florida. It is then composed of Ben Dobson (song), Todd Clary (song, guitar), Ben Harper (guitar), Warren Cooke (low), Longineu W. Parsons III (battery), and Sean Mackin (violin) but this one did not make party of the group completely. They leave their first album Midget Tossing , followed Where We Stand and EP Still Standing , but of the changes intervene.

The principal singer as Todd Clary leave the group, they are replaced by Ryan Key. Sean Mackin is then an official member of the group. Little time after Ryan is integrated, this one manages to convince all the group to go in California to make known itself. In 2001, the " nouveau" Yellowcard records its first album entitled: One for the Kids , then leaves the EP The Underdog .

The great characteristic of Yellowcard is the idea of genius which they had to add of the violin in rock'n'roll, and it is this idea which will make the success of the songs of the " nouveau" Yellowcard, then the following ones in the album Ocean Avenue , which will definitively make them know with a very enthusiastic American public. Nevertheless, little before the exit album, Pete Mosely, which succeeded Warren Cooke after The Underdog EP , mentions personal problems to leave the group. It will return one year later, in 2004, évinçant its substitute Alex Lewis.

In 2005, Ben Harper, member since the origin, leave the group in her turn. It is replaced by Ryan Mendez while the group completes another album. Yellowcard finishes recording it in the neighborhoods of on July 8th, 2005. Heading Lights and Sounds , it left on January 24th 2006.

The recording of the new album, named Paper Walls , is finished, this last will leave on July 17th, 2007. Yellowcard updated its Myspace and proposes to us in listening two new songs: Fighting, and Light Up The Sky, which will be the first individual one of their new album. Yellowcard recently revealed the small pocket of Paper Walls on its Myspace. Another song resulting from the new album is also écoutable on Myspace, it is entitled Five Becomes Four.

October 17th, 2007, Peter Mosely announces to leave the group in order to continue other ways. He thanks all the fans and ensures that it was an honor to play with Yellowcard.
