Yellow house (Van Gogh)
The Yellow Maison is the name which is generally given to a Oil-base paint of the Dutch painter Vincent van Gogh, realized in September 1888.
The table represents a house located 2, Place Lamartine at Arles, in France, in which Van Gogh rented on May 1st, 1888 four parts, two large giving to the ground floor being used to him of workshop and kitchen and, on the first floor, two smaller facing the Lamartine Place. The window of the first stage to the angle is that of the guest room of Van Gogh, where Paul Gauguin lived during nine weeks as from October 1888.
The building underwent various rebuildings, before being severely damaged by a bombardment allied the June 25th 1944, and it was demolished later.
