Yellow Quinquina
The yellow quinquina (Cinchona calisaya) is a tree sempervirent of the family of the Rubiacées.
Use
The bark of the yellow quinquina contains Alcaloïde S, of which the Quinine, which has recognized medicinal properties. Was used it formerly to treat the Paludisme. Other species of Cinchona , whose red Quinquina and Quinquina, also produce quinine.
