Yelü Abaoji

Yelü Abaoji (872 - 926) of the Dynastie Liao is the first emperor of the Empire of Khitan (907-926).

From 907 to 926, the chief Abaoji (Have-CAM-ki) manages to unify the Khitan tribes and founds the Liao dynasty. In 924, it drives out the Kyrgyz high Mongolia.

Abaoji dies during an offensive against the empire toungouse of Pokhaï into 926. Following this countryside, the tribes Djürchet of the forests of the Oussouri, related to the Manchus, are subjected to Khitan who then extend their empire to the border of Korea.

The widow of Abaoji reaches the capacity. She supports the election by the noble ones of her puîné son, Yelü Deguang (Ye-liu Tö-kouang). Sovereign crafty one and cruel, it condemns to dead her adversaries in their saying that it sends them in embassy in her late husband.
