Career
One has little information over his first years. " Katerina" , as had habit to call it its male fellow-members, took part in the Bataille of Stalingrad in the rows of the 9.GuIAP (= regiment of air hunting of the Garde). During the Printemps 1943 it was transferred to the 296.IAP (which had at the summer of the same year being renamed 73.GuIAP ), which served on the Southern Front . At the beginning June 1943, it counted already 6 victories approved with its prize list. It took then share with the engagements for the release of the area of the Donbass and it is at the time of the one of these aerial combats which took place, in July 1943, meadows of Rostov on the Gift which it was to be shot down and killed.
