the Years of training of Wilhem Meister is one novel of training ( Bildungsroman ) written by Goethe: a hero walks on and must make his training of the life while thwarting the various obstacles which are drawn up in front of him.
Wilhelm is a young merchant who believes a vocation of dramatic actor… It is made engage in a wandering troop and discovers the world, the love, the companies… For him, the literature and the theater can change the company because they make it possible to approach the reality and the ideal which are two indissociable poles!
It is an autobiographical novel insofar as the hero expresses the same point of view as Goethe. It introduces also a reflection on the Franc-maçonnerie.
