- Sägesignatur (“signature in tooth of saw”): the Dendrochronologie reveals in the south of the Germany the regular alternation of dry years and rainy years of 1530 with 1541, alternation confirmed by the dates of grape harvest recorded in France and Suisse.

the Schism Anglican
- the May 23rd 1533, the king of England Henri VIII, second sovereign of the dynasty Tudor, divorce of his first wife Catherine d' Aragon and marries Anne Boleyn, lady-in-waiting of the queen, whom it makes crown a few days later. The event causes the excommunication of the king by the pope Clément VII, first episode of the schism which proved to be final.
- This schism causes the resignation of Thomas More on May 16th 1532. Refusing to recognize the spiritual authority of the king, he is imprisoned in the Tour of London then carried out on July 6th 1535.
