According to an often widespread belief, the year of Grâce would be an expression medieval E employed by the Believing S of the Christian Occident, according to which there would be a survival with a “Apocalypse” that some Astrologue S would have announced for the year 1000.
One thinks sometimes that as from the year 1001, every year is deducted like year of grace , as a survival of this " Apocalypse ".

Origin of the expression

Actually, in addition to the “terrors of the year millet” are now regarded as having been extremely exaggerated by certain historians, the expression " year of grâce" is attested only as from the 14th century. Any use of the expression " year of grâce" former to 1300 is a Anachronisme.
