Yazdgard II
Yazdegerd II , (etymology: " fact by God, " Izdegerdes ), was a king Sassanide of Perse, wire of Vahram V (421-438) which reigned of 438 with 457.
At the beginning of its reign, Yazdgard II quickly attacked the Roman Empire of the East with an army made up of various nations, from of which its Indian allies, in order to eliminate the threat from a Roman rebuilding (the Romans had built fortifications in the territory Persan close to Carrhae, in anticipation of forwardings which would be made). The Romans were taken by surprise, and only a strong flood prevented the Persan ones from advancing further in Roman territory. During its Eastern countryside, Yazdgard II had more and more suspicions against the Christian in the army and the nobility and drove out a certain number of it. He persecuted then the Christians and, in less measurement, the Juif S. In its last years ED reigns, Yazdgard II still engaged against Kidarites until its death into 457. Besides its strict religious policies and the persecution of the minorities, its subjects saw it like a leader right and moderate.
