Yat-Kha
Yat-Kha is a group of music rock'n'roll, originating in the republic of Touva in Russia, formed in 1991. Currently composed of Albert Kouvezine (singer and guitarist), Jenya Tkatchov (percussions) and Scipio (bass player).
Yat-Kha controls the Chant diphonic, a Mongolian technique making it possible to hold two notes at the same time: a serious note come from the throat and an acute note come from the nose.
Their compositions are based on the chamanic music Siberian while adding in addition to the electric instruments.
Origin of the name
Yat-Kha holds its name of a Mongolian traditional instrument near to the quadrant.
