Yasuzo Masumura (), born the August 25th 1924 and dead the November 23rd 1986), is a Réalisateur Japan board.

Born with Kôfu on the island from Honshû, it follows the courses of right of the Université of Tokyo, which it gives up to work as directing assistant with the studios Daiei Motion Picture. It then chooses to turn over to the same university, this time to study philosophy. It leaves there graduate in 1949. It obtains then a grant that it uses to learn the realization in Central Sperimentale di Cinematographia, in Italy, under the supervision of Michelangelo Antonioni, Federico Fellini and Luchino Visconti.

It returns to Japan in 1953, and from 55, he becomes assistant-realizer on films carried out by Kenji Mizoguchi and Kon Ichikawa. He carries out finally its first film in 1957: Kisses .

Over the 30 following years, it directs more than 60 films, of which most famous: the red Angel , Giants & Toys , the animal plugs , the Woman of Seisaku or Hoodlum Soldier . It also carried out Tatouage .
