The Rivière Yarmouk is one of the two major affluents of the the Jordan (the other being Jabbok). The confluence is located between the Dead Sea and the Sea of Galilee. The river separates Israel and the Jordan in its lowest part, and the Syria of the Jordan in its high part. It forms the southern limit of the plate of the Golan.
