Yantra (river)
The Yantra (into Bulgarian: Янтра) is a river of septentrional Bulgaria, an affluent of Right Bank of the the Danube. It runs out on 285 km (the larger third Bulgarian Affluent of the the Danube) and its basin has a surface of 7,862 km ².
The source of Yantra is on northern Piedmont of the Pic Hadzhi Dimitar in the Balkans at an altitude of 1,340 Mr. In his higher course, the river is often called Etar (Етър), its old name. The river is thrown in the Danube near Svishtov.
One of the characteristics of the river resides in many the throats which it forms while crossing the zone of pre-Balkans, more impotante is that close to Veliko Tarnovo, long 7 km.
The main cities located on its course are Gabrovo, Veliko Tarnovo, Gorna Oryahovitsa, Polski Trambesh, and Byala close which is located celebrates it Pont Belenski which spans Yantra.
