Yannick Nézet-Séguin is a Leader Québécois, born with Montreal in 1975
Biography
He studies the Piano as of the five years age. It is interested in the trade of leader since the ten years age. Become member of the polyphonic Chorus of Montreal in 1994, it is allowed with the Conservatoire of music of Quebec in 1995. It follows also courses to the Westminster Choir College to Princeton near Joseph Flummerfelt and Hermann max.
With the Opera of Montreal, he becomes chief of the choruses and directs a first production as of the twenty-two years age; thereafter, it is to advise musical during two years; it directs there several other productions and several official receptions. In 1999 and 2000, it directs the Orchestre of the Great Canadian Ballets, which presents the Casse-Noisette of Tchaïkovski. At one time, it directs the Violins of Roy.
It directs the metropolitan Orchestre of Large Montreal since 2000. Its greater inspirations are Charles Dutoit and Carlo Maria Giulini. He is the guest of the Victoria Symphony in 2003.
He will succeed Valery Gergiev starting from September 2008 as director of the Philharmonic orchestra of Rotterdam. At the same time, he will become invited main leader of the Philharmonic orchestra of London.
