Yang Zhengguang

Yang Zhengguang (born in 1960) is a writer Chinese originating in the district of Qianxian, located at the east of Xi' year, an old capital. Located in the middle of the province of the Shaanxi, this region is famous inter alia for its imperial tombs such that of the empress Wu Zitian (625-705).

Meaning “in the honor of”, the first name of the author wakes up rural resonances. His/her parents allotted it to him by hoping that it makes honor with its family. It is what it did. In 1982, coldly graduate of the department of Chinese literature of the university of Shandong, Yang Zhengguang finds an employment with the Political Advisory Conference of the Chinese People (CCPPC) of the town of Tianjin.

Four years later, we find it in a small village of the north of Shaanxi to write poems. The country life becomes the object of its handing-over in question and influence its work until today. This stay will lead it to the romantic writing. The following years, he writes news gathered in a first collection published under the yellow title of Poussière (Huang Chen).

As of the end of the year 1989, he works as scenario writer for the movie studios of Xi' year. In two years, he writes seven scenarios of which two will be turned. Left on the Chinese screens in 1990, the film Double standard (Shuang IQ Zhen Daoke) will receive the Grand Prix of a Japanese festival of film of adventure and fiction.

In 1998, the televised series At the edge of water (Shuihu Zhuan), adaptation of the famous homonymous novel, are a real business success. Signing the rewriting of this great classic of the Chinese literature, he is henceforth recognized general public.

Throughout the years 1990, he tells many chronicles villagoises such black Paysage (Hei Fengjing), Liu Falang or My dear enemy (Lao daN shi yi ke shu). The starting point of this literature is to tell itself through the native land and by a critical approach on the rural world. The trouble, selfishness, ignorance, the narrow-mindedness, hatred, the conflicts and country violences destroyed oneself-saying it illusion of healthy people by revealing a deeply hidden black root. In comparison with work, criticism joined all kinds of labels with Yang Zhengguang, of the search of the cultural roots to the avant-gardism while passing by the neo-realism. As for the author, he affirms to belong to no current.

In 2000, the municipality of Shenzhen invests it function of vice-president of the Association of the writers of the special economic zone.

In 2003, in the third number of the Chinese literary magazine “Harvests” (Shouhuo), appears the novel Cong liang Ge jidan kaishi (That started with two eggs), a novel raising at the same time of the individual chronicle and the table of time.

In the re-entry arts person 2007, the Bleu editions of China publish the translation of Lao daN shi yi ke shu under the title of “My dear enemy” translated from Chinese by Raymond Rocher and Chen Xiangrong.

Criticisms

" Lao daN, an old peasant who morfond near his confirmed bachelor son (good boy submitted to its tyrant of father), seeks to mitigate its trouble and to give again a direction with its life… he invents for that an enemy, without apparent reason, and its choice is made on Zhao Zhen, trafficker of women (inter alia), whose flourishing businesses aggravate the old man. But the day when Zhao Zhen returns accompanied by an young woman of a close province, Lao daN is at the head put to marry his/her son and the power struggles are seen upset… Between tragi-comic joke and fable absurdity, My dear enemy reports a succession of mishaps (certainly intersected with transitory successes) which concentrates on a character heading, with the twisted spirit, cocasse and irritant with wish. All is held behind closed doors or almost, in this short satirical and yet very realistic novel, which in known as length on the idiosyncrasies and the whims of the human spirit, which always needs a " autre" for définir."
