Yan Jiaqi
Yan Jiaqi 嚴家其 (born the December 25th, 1942, in the province of the Jiangsu) is an political economist Chinese.
In 1959, it enters to the Université of sciences and technologies of China, then becomes director of the Institute of Policy of the Chinese Académie of social sciences, where it publishes several articles and tests on the political reforms. In 1986, it publishes a “Theory of gouverment”. Its most known work, written in collaboration with his wife, is “Cultural revolution, 15 years of history”.
In the years 1980, he becomes political adviser of Zhao Ziyang, and one of the intellectuals more in sight during the demonstrations coeds of 1989. After the Manifestations of the place Tian' anmen, he emigrates with the the United States. He is excluded from the Chinese Communist party in 1991. Its works are always prohibited in China.
He is member of Association for the Constitutional reform in China and proposed the creation of a Federal republic of China.
