Yan' year (延安; Pinyin: Yán' ān; EFEO: Yen-year) is a city of the province Shaanxi in China. The urban population is of: 145800 inhabitants.

Yan' year was the political and military base Chinese Communist party after the Long walk of 1935 with 1948. Mao Zedong directed there from a city troglodyte out the walls of the city the resistance of the Party against the occupation of China by the Japan. This city troglodyte, preserved in his authenticity, became from now on a political place of pilgrimage for the Chinese Communists.
