Yamcha
Yamcha is a character of the Manga Dragon Ball .
Its name is a word game, it acts of a kind of Verlan in Japanese starting from Chamuya which means “tea” in Japanese.
History
It is an young man, inseparable from his friend Pooal, small animal flying able to use the technique “polyforme”. Initially desert highwayman, it hears of the Dragon Balls and hopes to be able to ask the Dragon crowned Shenron to make disappear his morbid timidity towards the girls. He thus follows His Gokû and Bulma in their adventures to the castle of Pilaf, with a aim of stealing the Dragon Balls to them. After the disappearance of the Dragon, the possibility of making a wish disappears but it has the love at first sight (reciprocal) for Bulma and realizes that its wish became useless.
Expert in martial arts, it is very strong for human but is however preceded by Ten Shin Han even if it has about the same potential level as Krilin for the title of human most extremely. He takes part in the three Tenka Ichi Budôkai corresponding to the childhood and the adolescence of Gokû, but never reaches the semi-finals. He is easily beaten by Jacky Chun at the time of the first, a little with difficulty by Ten Shin Han at the time of the second (but he leaves himself there with a broken leg) and finally easily by Shen (alias Kami-sama) at the time of the last championship. Its technique of combat is however powerful ( Rôga Fûfû Ken used for the first time against Its small Gokû, Kamé Hamé ha against Ten Shin Han and the Sôkidan against Shen…), but it passes gradually in the second plan in the continuation of the history, behind the incomparable power of the Saiyan S.
The last combat in which it takes part truly is that against Nappa and Végéta after the drive at Kami-sama during nearly one year, but it is killed all the same by Saibai-man being itself car-destroys and did not on the occasion to face them in person. After that, it had all the same the privilege to be involved with Ten Shin Han, Chaozu and Piccolo near Kaiô Master and fought and overcame over there Reacum (exclusive event with the televised series not forming part of the original manga). It ressuscite after the saga Freezer and adopts a life more arranged a little (without Bulma, from now on with Végéta) while preparing for the arrival of the next enemies.
It takes part still a little in the saga of the Cyborg S but has a very secondary role (it is all the same the first to discover C-19 and C-20 during their appearance and also fought the Jr Concealment.). Finally, it finishes by a role more than anecdotic in the saga Boo even if it on the occasion to be involved with the paradise with Krilin and to very briefly fight small Boo with this one (exclusive event with the televised series not forming part of the original manga). One still sees last Yamcha once all at the end of the televised series Dragon Ball WP making following the manga, at the time of the departure of Gokû.
