Yamatotakada
Yamatotakada (大和高田市; - shi) is a city of the Préfecture of Nara on the island of Honshū to the Japan.
In 2003, the population rose with 72 291 inhabitants and his density was of 4 386,59 people by km ². Its surface is of 16,48 km ².
Yamato is the old name of the prefecture of Nara.
The city continues to develop like a local place of businesses and a governmental center of the center of the prefecture of Nara.
History
Inhabited since the Paleolithic , the area developed a rice agriculture in the fertile basin of Nara. Large tombs in the shape of keyhole were built about the year 500.A local family samurais directs the area for the medieval period, but the Takada lord died of the blows of his powerful vassal Nobunaga Oda in 1580. At the beginning of the modern era the city evolved/moved like a commercial agglomeration with a Buddhist temple in its center.
With the introduction of Western civilization to Japan, a modern textile factory was established here at the end of the 19th century. Consequently, the city it is transformed into a modern center of the industry of the textile.
