Yamachiche is a Municipalité Quebec located between the rivers Yamachiche and Petite Yamachiche in the regional Municipalité of county of Maskinongé in the administrative area of the Mauricie.

- July 1st 1855: Constitution of the municipality of parish of Holy-Anne-in Yamachiche during the original municipal cutting of Quebec.
- 1887 : The municipality of village of Yamachiche is detached from Holy-Anne-in Yamachiche
- December 26th 1987: Yamachiche and Holy-Anne-in Yamachiche amalgamate to become the municipality of Yamachiche .
History
Colonized starting from
1702, the municipality of Yamachiche was known for its station of Wireless telegraphy which was useful for the communication between the
America and the
Europe. It was also a station of draft of the merchants of furs.
