Yakovlev Yak-4

The Yakovlev Yak-4 (also known under designation BB-22) was a bomber light Soviet of the Second world war derived from the Yak-2 .

It used engines more powerful than its predecessor. It was a fast plane and presenting a pleasant silhouette, but was however too vulnerable during the attacks on the ground. The few built specimens (90) were used for missions of night and recognitions with high-altitude.
