Yahia Ayache
Yahia Ayache (rear RTL يحيىعياش) known as the engineer, born in 1965 and dead the January 5th 1996, was the bomb disposal expert and one of the main leaders of the military wing of the Hamas, the Brigades Izz Aldine Al-Qassam.
It was born in a family from modest farmers from the village from Rafat in the West Bank (close to Nablus). It is graduate in electric engineering of the Université of Beir Zeit. It enters clandestinity in July 1992 following its refusal to go to a convocation Shin Beth. It organized a series of attack-suicides which made a popular hero of them on the Palestinian scene.
He is assassinated on January 5th, 1996 by the Shin Beth while exploding a mini bomb placed in his cellphone.
The operation puts a term at the efforts of Yasser Arafat to convince Hamas to introduce candidates to the legislative elections of 1996.
More than 100.000 people will witness its funeral. Hamas answers by four attack-suicides Jerusalem and Ashkelon two months later, making more than 60 Israeli victims, the majority are children who apprétaient themselves to celebrate the Jewish holiday of Pourim.
A song of the Lebanese singer Fayrouz is devoted to him: “ Talfan Ayyash” ( Ayache telephoned ).
