Yacouba
The Yacoubas constitute West African people present in Ivory Coast. Also called daN , Yacoubas account for 5,9% of the population of the Ivory Coast (250.000 people) and are localized mainly in the mid-west, around the town of Man and the Liberia, where they are called Gio. They belong to the mandé group or mandingue. They include/understand 2 subsets:
- the Danmenou installed in North in the solid masses of the In and Man.
- the Boutyouleumenou in the South on the high plateaus.
