YZ Ceti is classified as a eruptive star whose Luminosité fluctuates by intermitence.
YZ Ceti is unusually close to Tau Ceti, a star of spectral Type G8. Both are separate only of 0,72 light-year, that is to say 17% the distance Sun/Proxima Centauri.
