Yéyé
Yéyé is a name specific to the French popular singers of 1959 with 1968. This term would have been popularized by the sociologist Edgar Morin.
The interjection yéyé was plated well too systematically on the translations made with goes-quickly from the standards of Rock and Twist of the the United States. These two syllables ( yeah-yeah ) made it possible to start again the rate/rhythm and to mask the missing words. By extension, this expression indicated the songs then the singers themselves, then finally a phenomenon of mode, of which one of the precursors in France east Maurice Renoma.
Claude François, Francoise Hardy, France Gall, Sheila, Sylvie Vartan, Chantal Goya, Frank Alamo, Eddy Mitchell, Johnny Hallyday, Jacques Dutronc are the most known singers who represent this period in France.
There exists about it well of different, Liz Brady, Cléo, Cosette, Dani, Chantal Kelly, Gillian Hills, Jacqueline Taïeb, Jocelyne
And with the Quebec also: Claire Lepage, Michele Richard, Jenny Rock'n'roll, Pierre Lalonde,…
Salut the buddies also illustrates with excellence the Yéyé period.
