Yélimané is a city, chief town of the commune of Guidimé, place chief of circle of the area of Kayes to the Mali. It is made up of four regions: Diafounou, Guidimé, Tringa and Kayaga. The town of Yélimané counted 2.928 inhabitants in 2002.

Twinning and decentralized co-operation

A twinning - co-operation was concluded in 1985 between the French city from Montreuil (Seine-Saint-Denis) and rings it of Yélimané.
