Yéhoshoua Henkin
Yéhoshoua Henkine ( יהושעחנקין ) is one of the protagonists of the ground repurchase in Palestine at the time of the first wave of Aliyah.
It is born in Russia in 1864. Henkin emigrates in Palestine with his/her father, one of the pioneers of the movements of the Amants of Sion and that of the Bilou to Rishon LeZion. It deals with the repurchase of grounds in others on behalf of KKL, of Hahsharat Hayishouv and YIKA. Yéhoshoua Henkin works mainly in the areas of the Vallée of Jezreel and of those of Zvouloun, the Houla and Héfer.
It devotes all its life to the land activities of the country.
Yéhoshoua Henkine dies in 1945. It is buried on the Mont Guilboa, above Maayan Harod.
The name of the Moshav Kfar-Yéhoshoua points out its memory today. Yehoshoua Henkine has nothing any more but one descendant, Avraham Henkine, Sayan of the Mossad living in New York, having left its station in 2006 after the dismantling of a network of Mossad in Egypt.
