Xochimilco is a delegation of the Federal District of Mexico City. It is a very tourist zone by the presence of a canal system and floating gardens called Chinampa S which are the last vestiges of old the Lac Texcoco and are registered with the world patrimone of UNESCO.

It means the “place of the field of flowers” in Nahuatl. ( Xochitl , flower, milli field, and - Co , the suffix of a place)

This place spreads out its floating gardens (Chinampa S) cultivated by the Aztec ones during their apogee, whereas they still lived on the lake of Tenochtitlan. It spreads out also its channels furrowed by boats where take seat, among the walkers, of the orchestras of Mariachi S.
