Xinzhou (忻州; Pinyin: Xīnzhōu) is a city of the north of the province of the Shanxi in China.

Administrative divisions

The city-prefecture of Xinzhou exerts its jurisdiction on fourteen subdivisions - a district, a city-county and twelve counties  :

• the county of Ningwu - 宁武县 Níngwǔ Xiàn   ;
• the county of Jingle - 静乐县 Jìnglè Xiàn   ;
• the county of Shenchi - 神池县 Shénchí Xiàn   ;
• the county of Wuzhai - 五寨县 Wǔzhài Xiàn   ;
• the county of Kelan - 岢岚县 Kělán Xiàn   ;
• the county of Hequ - 河曲县 Héqǔ Xiàn   ;
• the county of Baode - 保德县 Bǎodé Xiàn   ;
• the county of Pianguan - 偏关县 Piānguān Xiàn .
