Xinetd

xinetd , which means e' X' tended I nter' NET' D aemon, is a demon open source which turns on the majority of the systems Unix and which manage the connections based on the Internet. It is a protected rewriting of inetd .

xinetd offers techniques of safety such as TCP Wrapper S for ACL, of the increased possibilities of logging, or the possibility of rendering services available according to time. It can impose a limit on the number of waiters which the system can launch, and offers a mechanism of defense against the Balayage of port S inter alia things.
