Xiapi
Xiapi is a geographical denomination which indicates an old district and an old county of the province of Xu in ancient China. Its site corresponds today to the North-West of the county of Suining in the Jiangsu.
Bordered to the west by the district of Pei (province of Yu), to north by the districts of Pengcheng and Donghai, to south-east by the district of Guangling and to south-west by the district of Jiujiang (province of Yang), the district of Xiapi is crossed by the rivers If and Hooted. Its territory roughly speaking occupied the contemporary city-prefectures of Suqian and Huaian in the North-East of the province of Jiangsu. Until year 72, the district of Xiapi was known under the name of Linhuai.
The county was for its part located at the east of the contemporary city of Picheng (latitude: 34.467, longitude: 117.967) in Jiangsu and was an important strategic point during the Dynastie Han.
History/Battles
The town of Xiapi, which was under the control of the lord of war Liu EIB, passed to the hands of Lu Drunk in year 196. This last, which had seized the city by opportunism, joined again with Liu EIB and together, controlled the area. However, their alliance was short; Lu Drunk indicator Liu EIB as a threat attacked it again and this last went to join CAD CAD.In year 197, Yuan Shu attacked the town of Xiapi, but Drunk Lu concluded defense and was victorious.
In year 198, it was CAD CAD which attacked Xiapi, last Drunk Lu rampart. November 7th, 199, after a sharp resistance and the treason of several of its generals, Drunk Lu was resigned and capitulated, putting thus fine at the head office of Xiapi. Lu Drunk as for him was carried out.
