Xiamen (厦门; Pinyin: Xiàmén) is a city of the province Fujian in China. It has the statute of special economic Zone (ZES). Its population was of approximately: 697300 inhabitants in 2001. It was known in the past under the name of Amoy which the first European travellers had given him.

In 2005, total GDP was of 100,7 billion Yuan S, and the GDP per capita of: 44737 yuans.
