Xavier Lapeyre

Xavier Lapeyre is an automobile old driver French. Multidisciplinary, it was one of the specialists in the car of production.

Biography

Osteopath of formation (activity which he always carries on in 2007 with Toulouse), it arrives in the landscape of the French automobile sport starting from 1972.

It takes part in races of Formule 2 and tests of the Championship of Europe in 1975 and 1976 out of Chevron 76 and in 1977 on Martini MK 19.

Having difficulties of qualifying itself, in 1979, it launches out in the Rally on road and quickly gains victories thanks to its tended trajectories and its late brakings due to its experiment of pistard . It gains in particular the Rallye of the Black Mountain in 1979 and 1980 and the Rallye of Quercy in 1981.

The adventure of the Rallys leads it to take part in the Paris-Dakar in 1984 on Range Rover ETT (abandonment) and in 1985 on Audi Quattro (17th with the general) with the team official Audi.

Equip Audi with which it deviend Champion of France of private cars on track in 1986 and 1991 and vice-Champion of France in 1985 - 1987 and 1988.

During all its activity of pilot, it took part in 13 tests of the 24 hours of Mans of 1974 with 1991.
