Xapian is an search engine Open source, diffused under license LPG. He is written in C++, with extensions which make it possible to use it starting from languages such as Perl, Python, Java, Tcl, C#, and Ruby.

Xapian is a very flexible tool which makes it possible developers to very easily add to their applications of the functions of Indexation and of very sophisticated research.
