Xanthine

The xanthine is a substance derived from the Purine and produced during the degradation of this one. It is converted into Uric acid by the action of the Xanthine oxydase.
The Méthylxanthine S are a group of Alcaloïde S which are commonly used like light stimulants and for their effects Bronchodilatateur S, in particular in the treatment of the Asthme. The Cafeine, the Theophylline, the Théobromine belong to this group.
