Xandria
Xandria is a German group of Rock, formed in 1994, dissolved in 1997, then finally reformed in 2000
History
Following the efforts of Marco Heubaum on the project, Xandria occurred in 1994 and drew its inspiration in the music of groups such as Tiamat and Paradise Lost. But the musical disagreements which gained the young group led to its dismantling three years after, limiting at the time its notoriety. In 2000, on a new initiative of Marco Heubaum, Xandria was reconstituted, after the separation of the members of their respective groups, which meet within the project, gathered by the guitarist Marco Heubaum. Xandria begins by diffusing its first titles on the Mp3.com site, where the group meets its first public there. In 2003, after a signature at Drakkar Entertainment, leaves the first album Kill The Sun , gathering their 4 titles demonstrations. Inspired by Tiamat or Paradise Lost, the album is a metal with Gothic tendency.
The group connects many concerts, with in particular Subway to Sally and ASP, and, after a pause for their personal projects and a winter session studio, a second album, Ravenheart , sees the day in 2004.
A third album, India , leave in 2005. As its name indicates it, it comprises pieces of Eastern but also Celtic inspiration, as it was the case in the preceding album.
The last album Salome - The Seventh Veil left on May 25th, 2007.
