Xaintrie
The Xaintrie or more rarely Saintrie (in Occitan Sentria ) is an area of the Corrèze. The name comes from Sainte Sorts which by contraction became Xaintrie.
This area extends to the south and the east from the town of Argentat, around the town of Saint-Privat. This area is a plate crossed by 3 Rivière S (the the Dordogne, the Maronne and the Cère) which forms deep throats. Xaintrie is divided into 2 parts:
- Xaintrie White in the north of Maronne
- Xaintrie Black in the south of Maronne (more wooded)
