- Apogee of the town of Ebla (- 2400, -2300), which would have counted to 250.000 inhabitants.
- Ebla, in Syria, is a large capital built around a splendid palate, which maintains the regular relations with cities located at hundreds of kilometers (- 2400, - 2300).
- Archives of Ebla (15 000 texts) which proves that the palate is the principal seat of the administration. The king had at his sides the scribes necessary to manage the agricultural domains, the workshops and the marketing activities. The large court of audience of the palate of Ebla contained at least part of the administrative services.
