XVManager

XVManager, (to pronounce Fifteen To manage) is a French play of management of team of Rugby in line, founded in 2004 by a young impassioned engineer of Rugby. The play is developed in PHP and is financed entirely thanks to the players cotisants of the site.

Principle of the play

This play of management of a team of Rugby is free to 99% and counts more than 10.000 trainers throughout the world. It requires only one navigator Internet to function. The play is centered on the management of your club, you begin with a ground, a budget, and a starting manpower of 30 players to which you allot points of competence. With you to raise you in the levels of various divisions which take again about real divisions of French Rugby (Series, Honneur, Fédérale 3, Fédérale 2, Fédérale 1, Pro D2, Top 14 (Pro D1 in the play)). The play functions at a rate of three seasons per annum. The seasons of championship thus proceed January with March, of May to July and of September to November. The off seasons are devoted to the friendly matches and the many cuts and tournaments organized by the supporters of the play. The matches are played Wednesday and weekend (Saturday or Sunday).

It is not necessary to know the Rugby to be interested in XVManager, quite to the contrary, it is very good average to discover this sport and number of the managers is now fans. Moreover, many helps and other user's manuals were written to help more the beginners.

Stations

All the stations of Rugby are represented on xvmanager, the players are however gathered by sectors of play:

- Fronts, numbers 1 to 8 - Hinge, numbers 9 and 10 - Three quarters, numbers 11 to 14 - Backs, number 15

Competences

The play manages 14 different competences, balanced by coefficients of importance according to the station of the player:

- Goal Capacity of a player to type penalties.

- Race Speed of one player to the race.

- CpPieds Capacity of a player to release the balloon with the foot.

- Hooks Capacity of a player to change direction abruptly in order to avoid its adversary.

- Defense Positioning of the players on the ground. Especially important for defense, this competence is also taken into account on the level of supports of a plated player.

- Discipline Control and compliance with the rules of Rugby.

- Drops Capacity of a player to type a drop (to make pass the balloon enters the posts while typing inside to the foot, after rebound).

- Maul S Effectiveness of the team on the balloons carried in maul.

- Mixed Effectiveness of the team on the frays.

- Master keys Capacity of a player to carry out a master key or to receive it.

- Physics Power and endurance of the players

- Plating Capacity of a player to stop his adversary by making it fall to ground.

- Rows Capacity of a player to draw aside his adversary of the hand in order to avoid the plating.

- Key Effectiveness of the team to preserve or steal the balloons in key.

Divisions

On xvmanager, divisions are regarded as levels. Namely that the number of teams which can reach each division is not limited, cutting is done in as many hens by divisions than it y-a teams in each one of it.

So it y-a not of final stages as one can find of them in the championship of Rugby of the Top 14

Matches

General information on the matches

The matches proceed Wednesday and the weekend, they can be friendly or official (Tournaments, Coupes or Championship). The friendly matches are organized directly between managers who propose dates of confrontation. Once the planned match, each manager constitutes his sheet of match (possibility of parameterizing a standard sheet of match).

The matches pre-are generated, in order to allow the " supporters" site to visualize them on line live between 15:00 and 17:00, and this without deceleration of the waiter. The visualization of a match is done, for the non-supporters, the shortly after the meeting, in a textual way. Thus, you view the detail, action by action, second a second.

Tournaments and cuts

The tournaments and cuts are organized by the people supportrices of xvmanager. Each player can as far as take part in it his availabilities and of the criteria of the event (force minimum, maximum etc…).

Each organizer is responsible for the good progress of his cut and must remain the privileged interlocutor of the participants.

Championship

The phases of championship are three per annum, from January to Mars, May to July and September to November. The inscription with the championship is automatic, the hens are drawn the 24 from the previous month, the matches are generated the 28 of the previous month.

to be noted: The 6th season, as from May 2007, will give the day to a pyramidal mode of divisions. As of the end of season 5, divisions will be reorganized to form the pyramidal organization according to:

ELITE: 8 hens of 6

Pro D1: 16 hens of 6

Pro D2: 32 hens of 6

Federal 1: 64 hens of 6

Federal 2: 128 hens of 6

Federal 3: 256 hens of 6

Honor: 512 hens of 6

Series: 1024 hens of 6

At the end of each season, only the first of each hen will go up, the two last of each hen will go down. According to the left places being occupied by the abandonments, best the second could also be promoted!

Managers

The majority of the players are currently French, the site being recently translated into English. A French federation of the managers of XVManager was also assembled at the beginning of 2006 by a group of players (http://ffxv.free.fr).
