XVIe Portuguese constitutional government

The XVIe constitutional government of the Portuguese République was invested the July 21st 2004 by the Assemblée of the Republic. It is a Coalition government between PSD and CDS/PP. It succeeded the XVe constitutional government directed by Jose Manuel Durao Barroso, appointed President of the European commission. Its mandate ended the March 12th 2005, twenty days after the anticipated legislative elections of the February 20th 2005 gained by the PS.
