XMODEM

XMODEM is a file transfer protocol developed by Ward Christensen and was most popular for the commutated phone network, i.e. between Modem S.

XMODEM uses packages of 128 bytes with detection of error, making it possible to the receiver to require the retransmission of the corrupted package. XMODEM is rather slow but reliable.
